Remember that great scene at the end of The Goonies when the pirate ship appears? Well, turns out that Josh Brolin ruined it. While appearing with Ryan Reynolds on The Graham Norton Show to promote Deadpool 2, Brolin discussed his role as everyone's favorite 80s older brother, Brand.
While filming the 1985 classic, storywriter Steven Spielberg kept the big pirate ship under wraps so that he could get the kids' authentic reactions, but when it finally appeared, Brolin (17-years-old at the time) apparently dropped a very loud F-bomb. Here's the scene in question.
Brolin explains to Norton, "It took ages to set up and as we surfaced the water and turned to look at the ship I shouted, 'F--k!' Spielberg shouted, 'Cut!' I had blown it."
Way to go, Josh. If it's been a minute since your last viewing of The Goonies, A) what's wrong with you? and B) Brand was kind of a jerk, so maybe that's just the way it was supposed to be. Perhaps Brolin was so into his character that he subconsciously ruined the scene. Method acting strikes again?
Brolin has been in his fair share of films over the past thirty years, but the 50-year-old actor may still be best known as the flexing older brother from The Goonies. He explains, "I love it now but there were the struggling career years when I hated it... a good 20 years."

Warner Bros.
That's not the case now though. After a turn in this year's Avengers: Infinity War, he'll star in Deadpool 2 as Nathan Summers, aka Cable. And with an R rating, he can drop as many fucks as he wants.
