With the sound of James’ “Laid” still ringing in your head, chances are you feel a little bit played by series three of The Bear. A whole load of filler flashbacks; no resolution to three major plot points, then dropped with a big old “to be continued…” was all a little unsatisfying.
But! It is still superior television, and there might not be too long to wait until series four. According to Deadline, series three and four were filmed back to back, meaning we could get the follow-up as early as the beginning of 2025.
In the meantime, here’s everything we know about season four of The Bear. Service, please!

When is The Bear series 4 out?
For those champing at the bit to find out what those cliffhangers really meant, there really won’t be long to wait, as the new series is reportedly already in the can. However, given that every other season has premiered in June, with a gap of a year in between, it’s probably wise to assume that it’ll be broadcast in June 2025.
Is there a trailer for The Bear series 4?
No, not yet, but creator Christopher Storer’s probably deep in the edit right now.
Who is in the cast for The Bear series 4?
Presumably, all the usual cast will be returning, despite the leads Jeremy Allen White and Ayo Edebiri triumphing at awards season and leaping into full-on Hollywood roles.
White will return as the stressed chef Carmy, who still hasn’t dealt with the wounds of his family trauma. Even worse, he is taking it out on his kitchen mates, carrying on the toxic masculinity that he was bullied with while at chef school himself. Edebiri as Syd will finally (hopefully!) find the courage to leave The Bear and defect to a new venture.
Elsewhere, there will be welcome returns from Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Richie, Lionel Boyce as Marcus Brooks, Liza Colón-Zayas as Tina Marrero, Abby Elliott as Natalie “Sugar” Berzatto and Matty Matheson as Neil Fak. If Carmy and his “peace”, Claire, ever make it up; then that’ll see Molly Gordon also making a come-back.
We could potentially see Jamie Lee Curtis pop up again as Carmy’s mum, Donna, and we may also be blessed to have another turn from Olivia Colman as Chef Andrea and Will Poulter as Luca again.
MORE ON THE BEAR
What’s going to happen in The Bear series 4?
Well, if it doesn’t start by revealing the answers to three very important questions, we’re sending our plates back into the kitchen.
We’ll hopefully find out whether the eagerly-awaited Chicago Tribune review was actually positive or negative, and whether it’s enough to keep The Bear afloat – Cicero was told by his accountant that, as it was haemorrhaging so much money, he needed to shut the restaurant down for good.
It’ll also be revealed whether Syd decides to jump ship to a rival restaurant, and whether Carmy will gain some self-awareness and stop acting like such a dick to everybody around him. A reconciliation with his ex, Claire, would be a start, but will his pride continue to sabotage that vital relationship?
Either way, it’s going to take more than some lovingly-plated haute cuisine set to a pumping Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross soundtrack to get us yelling out “yes, chef!” once more.
